Shell Shocked!!

Shock!  Seriously, sit down.  That email address I found.  I googled it today.  First page, nothing.  Second, nothing.  It seems the guys was an avid gamer.  Playing world of warcraft, that kind of thing.  The third page, bam, it hit me.  “Local games hero discovered dead in apartment”  The report claims he was found dead on the morning of the 6th.  He sent me an email like the night before.  Gotta tell you, I’m getting a little freaked out.  Think the police will want to talk to me?

I’m gonna do a little more digging on this guy.  All I know so far, he was a gamer, which could have meant we met before right?  OK, so I’m not gaming 24×7 like some, but I do play online a lot.  Maybe we met up and he was trying to get in touch.  Maybe he really did need help?  I’m gonna tell Sophs about it tomorrow.  Should put me in good stead for talking to her about you know what.

I’m still shaking a little.  I can’t believe this guy sent me an email less than 24 hours before he died.  I mean I guess it could have been spam.  Maybe his machine was infected with a virus.  The article was all in French, but the headline was unmistakable.  “Un héros local des jeux vidéos trouvé mort dans son appartement.”  Even I know what that meant.  There was a picture of his apartment door too.

Listen, I gotta go, Sophs is calling me on my cell.
